Explore Florida with a Crystal River Kayak Trip

Family trips to Orlando tend to be so tiring. With day trip toward the west coast, your family could experience a different type of adventure. Swim with manatees, kayak down the river, cannonball into a spring, and explore the Crystal River area and "the Chaz". With these insider tips, check out this day in nature.

Who Am I and Why Blog?

I’m Bobbie, a homeschooling mom with a major wanderlust problem, a husband who encourages it, and four little travel monsters with long lists of places to go.

Most family travel inspiration online isn’t realistic for the rest of us. I want to help you travel with more confidence; it isn’t scary when you have some guidance.

Likewise, homeschooling isn’t scary when you can see a real-life example. Our lifestyle of learning thrives through exploring, games, and lots of great books. The fun stuff still counts!

These kids and their parents aren’t perfect. Let’s focus on what’s really important and seize the day. Welcome to our journey!

Until we will the lottery, vacation with Daddy is limited, so we have to make do. (And no, I don’t suggest the lottery as your plan😉)
“Live the full life of the mind, exhilarated by new ideas, intoxicated by the Romance of the unusual.”
Sometimes we have to push ourselves. Today was one of those days.
As one of my kids said, “They aren’t really even very good.” 😂
Take the time to follow the masts you see at the harbor. You just never know when the world’s third-largest tall ship might be docked for the day.
