Located right off the main highway from Atlanta to Orlando, this Georgia RV resort offers overnight RV camping in a setting that will have you wanting more than just another hotel along I-75 in Georgia. Whether you’re looking to tee off on a sunny afternoon, enjoy a quiet evening by the lake, or simply soak in the beauty of nature, Wanee Lake offers a memorable experience.
- Golfing: This tree-lined nine-hole golf course awaits. Grab one of the golf carts and head out for an after-work game of golf. Play twice for a full 18-hole golf experience.

Wanee Lake RV Park Specifics
The RV park at Wanee Lake is designed to cater to travelers with various needs offering a comfortable setting for a longer stay or a weekend getaway. With a paved in-campground road and fresh gravel on the RV sites, getting into the Wanee Lake RV spots couldn’t be easier.
- Level RV sites that spaciously accommodate up to 80 foot trailer and truck
- Full hookups including water, sewer, and electricity (30/50 amp)
- Extra-long back-in and pull-through sites
- Outdoor seating with picnic table
- Fire pit or grills at each RV site
And Wanee Lake guests who stay a month or longer have the option to add-on an unlimited golfing package to their reservation! It’s open until 7 PM and perfect to finish up a day of working with a round of golf right outside your camper door.

Are There Rental Cabins at Wanee Lake?
Currently, Wanee Lake RV Park has one cottage available for rent for your weekend adventure. With a queen bed and two twin beds in the upstairs loft, there is plenty of room for your family of four. The furnished kitchen and dining area has everything you need to prepare meals. The tankless water heater in the on-site water heater will give you unlimited hot showers for those golf-sore shoulders.
For complete relaxation, the living room offers a Roku-equipped television, and the front porch has rocking chairs waiting for you. Don’t forget to bring the marshmallows for some fire pit s’mores! The first hole on the Wanee Golf Course is only steps from your front porch, so your view is peaceful as you look out at the greens.
Staying at the Wanee Lake cottage is so much better than finding a local hotel during your drive from Florida to Georgia. And unlike the online home rentals, there’s no extra cleaning fee here.

Golfing at Lake Wanee
The Wanee Lake Country Club Golf Course is only minutes away when you stay at the Wanee Campground. With no tee times, Wanee Lake is perfect for a nine or eighteen round game of golf; Wanee Golf Course info and rates here. But it’s not just for RV park guests! They’re open 7 days a week to the public, and the locals know where to head on the weekends.
For only a small fee, rent a golf cart at the clubhouse and head out into the trees. There’s enough shade that a round of golf won’t be too hot even on the warmest Georgia days. They even host tournaments – check out the schedule here.

What is Near Wanee Lake?
With fishing and golfing and nature and swimming, you don’t need to plan any extra day trips away from Wanee Lake RV Park. There’s plenty here for a full, relaxing weekend. However, for those who enjoy exploring the surrounding area, the nearby town of Ashburn offers a glimpse into Southern hospitality and charm. Visitors can explore local shops or enjoy Southern cuisine. Ashburn, Georgia is also the closest little town, which you will drive through on the way to the campground, with a grocery store; it’s only five minutes away to any must-need supplies for the weekend.
Several quick history day trips awaits an hour or less away. Visit nearby attractions like the Georgia Veterans State Park or the Flint River Aquarium in nearby Albany, GA. Head to Plains, Georgia to learn at President Jimmy Carter National Historic Site, or take your history back to the Civil War with a drive to Andersonville Prison at another National Historic Site.
